'There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!'
A Norwegian fisherman once told me this and if you are to be a proper adventurer, you really need great gear, Patagonia is a brilliant company ethos.
Adventure
2012 was an adventurous year involving a few mountains; Snowdon, Ben Nevis and The Himalayas. Also spent a lot of time on location as a costume designer. I thought I'd invest in some proper gear, function over fashion; waterproof, windproof and warm. After hours of investigation, I came across a company who had great products and eco too.
Patagonia
Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia's founder started making climbing hard wear in the 60's, moving onto clothing in the 70's, bringing bright colours to the mountains. They are an ethical company only using organic cotton since 1996 and always looking for more eco fabrics for their ranges. The company funds environmental campaigns donating 10% of profits to groups educating and helping bring positive change to the world.
The best part is the will always mend damaged goods and have vans roaming America to fix up distressed garments, then and there! Your item will last forever.

Worn Wear
Worn Wear the website for Patagonia fans in their favourite clothing, showing photos people in different decades or the piece handed down to children. I love this and sent in photos of me and my Nano zip up quilted hooded jacket, it's a dream to appear on WornWear, one day... You get a sew on badge too!!
I LOVE My NANO

When looking for your next investment piece of adventure wear check out Patagonia, dig deep to find your perfect piece. I quite fancy the Torrentshell poncho made from recycled nylon and packs into a small pouch, perfect for those intermittent showers.
