Mary Mary Shackles ( Praise You) is one of my favourite songs, reminds me of a night in 2000 when I listened to this song about 50 times with Jeniney Bob, waiting for the morning to have our nails done, now if I ever find the photos...
Praise songs; following on from this weeks post BOTM and talking about descriptive praise, it's going really well, for the first time ever GG tidied up her purple bear cards which she loves to throw all over the kitchen floor. This is a BIG win!
Descriptive praise is like a running commentary of your child's good behaviour 'You are sitting nicely at the table eating your dinner' 'You are sitting in your buggie patiently, thank you.' 'Thank you for saying thank you' etc...
Ignore all the bad stuff and even if there's a second of good, descriptively praise ie stops moaning for a second. 'You stopped moaning.' So simple and very effective, try it and let me know how it goes.
