June is anniversary month, wed in 2008 to a wonderful man. I am very lucky.
I wrote this post to remind myself what I think is important in a happy marriage.
A marriage is a long journey, I'm not sure how many people think beyond the wedding.
Life has it's twists and turns, it's not always easy. Just be your best and try your hardest.

My Top 5 Secrets to a Happy Marriage.
1. LOVE
Love love love, all you need is love, crazy in love, true love, love is all.
2. NURTURE
Kindness, caring, listening, helping, encouraging, supporting, dates, holidays, presents, cuddles, chocolates, champagne. Nice stuff.
3. SEX
Sex is very important in a marriage and private between a couple.
But I will say, if you don't love yourself and your body, it's hard to feel in the mood.
Diet and exercise release endorphins that make you feel more sexy.
Set the scene; music, lights, whatever turns you on, we are all different.
Make time and do it!
4. COMMUNICATION
Talk and listen. Air any problems, be honest.
5. UNDERSTANDING
It's so easy to get caught up in our own worlds and totally forget someone else's point of view, be aware, adjusting, changing your ways, compromise, work as your team.

This applies to everyone; married, relationship, single.
Write a list of what's most important to you in a loving relationship and strive towards it.
My husbands Top 5 was 1. I don't make lists. Fair enough. My mother and father in laws, (they made theirs together which was sweet) 1. Sense of humour. A friend said 1. Blow jobs but that was 2,3,4&5. He was being funny.
